Matt always considered himself a pretty normal kid until the age of 16, when he made the unconventional decision to leave high school and pursue his dream of becoming a photographer. After years of hard work, bumpy roads, and many skeptics he opened up his business in 2008 and never looked back.

Matt is a firm believer in the power of hard work, sacrifice, honesty, and just being a good down-to-earth person. Over the past 10 years, he has built Kirchhof Photography into a thriving business all by word of mouth. He never relies on the recommendations of any venues, running advertisements, or attending bridal shows, which is something he takes an extreme amount of pride in. "I live for my business and never take anything for granted. I hold myself and my work ethic to the highest standard possible and I want every single one of my clients to see the passion and commitment we put into our work on a daily basis." Why did he pursue wedding photography in particular? Well, Matt loves the satisfaction he gets from being able to capture one of the most important days in someone’s life. He feels there are not many other days in people’s lives where there will be so much positive energy and raw emotion. Happiness, excitement, nervousness, joy- whatever the emotion, he loves just being along for the ride and capturing it all.
